Al Johnson is a filmmaker from Chicago, IL. Even though he grew up in the south suburbs- he considers himself part of the Chicago art scene.  Al currently holds a Bachelors in Cinema Arts and Sciences from Columbia College Chicago.

He is obsessed with everything that is film and is heavily influenced by Akira Kurosawa, Martin Scorsese, Spike Lee, George Lucas, Sam Raimi, Quentin Tarantino, Stanley Kubrick and Zack Snyder. He generally explores themes associated with masculinity, love, friendship, honor, addiction, death, morality and truth. He typically writes crime dramas and sci-fi.

When not working- Al enjoys dancing, pizza, Italian Beef sandwiches and beer on the weekends. He also has a dog named, Blitz.
